Individual simulators - Customized to your needs

The VirtaMed surgical simulators for hysteroscopy and prostate resection can be adapted to various medical devices - and thus provide teaching and training of many different procedures in the endoscopic field.

 

Laser prostate vaporization, vaporesection and enucleation

TURPSim™ is currently being adapted to include a laser module for vaporization, vaporesection and enucleation.

 

The TWISTER™ Sim, developed for biolitec, features the TWISTER™ fibre which works in contact mode and has been especially designed for high risk patients. The new CyberSym, developed for Quanta System, features a straight and a side firing laser fiber.

 

TWISTER™ Sim for biolitec

The TWISTER™ Sim offers training for prostate vaporization with the TWISTER™ fiber.

The very effective laser fiber works with tissue contact, offers great ablation rates and is a safe procedure especially designed for high-risk patients.

CyberSym for Quanta System

CyberSym, developed by VirtaMed AG for Quanta System, is a surgical simulator for laser prostate enucleation, vaporization and vaporesection.

The simulator features straight fibers and side firing lasers.

 

 

Hysteroscopic morcellators adapted for virtual reality simulation

HystSim™ for example now has a new morcellation module - instead of resection with the loop for polypectomy and myomectomy.

 

Also placing micro-inserts via the working channel of a hysteroscope is possible, as the EssureSim shows. It is a customized virtual reality simulator developed for Conceptus, Inc. Up to today, the company has trained thousands of surgeons on how to perform the Essure® procedure.

 

Morcellator TRUCLEAR SIM

The simulator can be used to train morcellation of polyps and myoma with the rotary or reciprocating blade.

Suction can be switched on right at the handpiece to get rid of fibroid tissue, blood clots and debris.

Pump interface

The pump interface looks exactly the same like the real fluid management system.

All parameters such as blade speed or pressure level can be viewed and adjusted on the touchscreen.

Morcellator GyneSim

Different virtual patients with one or more polyps or myoma (type 0 or I) can be removed with the morcellator.

The objective feedback after each virtual procedure includes the amount of fibroid tissue removed, safety aspects and correct and economical handling of the morcellator.

Pump interface

A choice of different pumps / fluid management systems is included in the simulator.

Every pump can be easily regulated via the touchscreen.

 

EssureSim: Custom-made simulator for Conceptus, Inc.

VirtaMed created EssureSim based on the HystSim™ system. It provides hands-on training on how to perform the Essure® procedure correctly, using original instruments.

Essure

Trainee gains experience in safely and efficiently placing the Essure® micro-inserts using original equipment. 8 cases include anteverted and retroverted uteri as well as various ostia configurations.

Complications such as distention difficulties, false passages and tubal resistance can be practiced without patient involvement.

EssureSim Case 2

A fluffy case with built-up endometrium in the uterine cavity. The "fluff" can be removed using the suction.

The fallopian tubes are partly hidden. Goal of the training case: Visualization and correct valve handling.

EssureSim Case 8

A large endometrial polyp makes access to the uterine cavity difficult. Bleeding is activated when bumping into polyp with the hysteroscope.

The goal of this training case: Get access to both tubes despite an obstacle.
